In this episode of Big Food Bucket List, host John Catucci goes on a seafood adventure to satisfy his cravings. As he travels to coastal towns in search of the ultimate oceanic grub, he meets with fishermen, chefs, and locals who share their knowledge and passion for seafood.

First, John visits a lobster pound in Nova Scotia, where he gets an up-close look at the massive tanks filled with fresh lobsters. He learns about the process of trapping, selecting, and preparing the crustaceans for shipping, and even tries his hand at cracking open a lobster himself. He savors the sweet, juicy meat of the lobster tail drizzled with garlic butter, and raves about the delicious lobster bisque.

Next, John heads south to Prince Edward Island, where he explores the island's oyster farms. He meets with an oyster farmer who explains the art of cultivating the prized bivalves and takes him on a boat ride to see the oyster beds for himself. John tastes the fresh oysters straight from the sea, and marvels at the delicate balance of briny and sweet flavors.

In Charlottetown, John visits a family-owned seafood restaurant and tries a local specialty - the lobster roll. He watches as the chef grills a buttery bun and stuffs it with a generous amount of tender lobster meat, dressed with creamy mayo and a sprinkle of chives. John declares it the best lobster roll he's ever had, and washes it down with a cold beer.

Moving on to New Brunswick, John visits a small fishing community where he meets an octopus fisherman. He learns how to catch and clean octopus, and gets a taste of the tender, slightly sweet meat in a simple salad made with lemon juice and herbs.

In St. Andrews, New Brunswick, John indulges in a classic seafood feast - a giant platter piled high with lobster, scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels, and more. He dunks the seafood in garlic butter and enjoys the smoky flavor of the grilled scallops, declaring it a true feast fit for a king.

John's final stop is in Newfoundland, where he goes crabbing with a group of fishermen. He works alongside them to haul in a net full of snow crab, and witnesses the excitement of opening up the trap to reveal the bounty inside. He savors the sweet, succulent crab meat with a side of drawn butter, and declares it the perfect ending to his seafood adventure.

Throughout the episode, John's enthusiasm for seafood and the people who work tirelessly to bring it to our tables is infectious. He highlights not only the delicious flavors, but also the importance of sustainable fishing practices and supporting local communities. This is a must-watch for any seafood lover and adventure seeker.
