In season 1 episode 6 of Big Shot, titled "Carlsbad Crazies," the Westbrook Sirens basketball team travels to Carlsbad to face off against their biggest rivals, the Carlsbad High School Cavaliers. Coach Korn and his team are determined to bring home a win, but they soon realize that the opposition is not their only challenge.
The Carlsbad community is known for their intense support of the Cavaliers, which often borders on obsessive. As the Sirens arrive in town, they are greeted by a barrage of insults and pranks from the locals, including fake media interviews and a giant banner reading "Westbrook Sirens Go Home."
Despite this, the Sirens remain focused on the game, with their captain Louise leading the charge. However, the pressure starts to mount as they find themselves falling behind in the first half. As halftime approaches, Coach Korn gives a rousing speech that inspires the team to come out swinging in the second half.
Their hard work pays off as the Sirens slowly start to chip away at the Cavaliers' lead. However, tensions escalate as the Carlsbad fans become increasingly rowdy and aggressive towards the Sirens, with one fan even throwing a drink at Louise.
In the final moments of the game, it all comes down to a high-pressure shot from Westbrook's star player, Destiny. With seconds left on the clock, Destiny sinks the shot, securing a hard-fought victory for the Sirens.
As they celebrate their win, the Sirens also reflect on the challenges they faced both on and off the court in Carlsbad. However, they know that they have the strength and resilience to overcome any obstacle as long as they stick together.
