In season 2 episode 7 of Bizarre ER, entitled Martial Arts Mishap, viewers are taken on a wild ride through the world of combat sports. From amateurs to seasoned pros, anyone can find themselves in need of medical attention after an accident on the mat.

The episode starts off with a visit to a Muay Thai gym, where a young fighter has taken a kick to the head during sparring. He's conscious, but his coach is worried about the potential for a concussion. The young man is taken to the hospital and it turns out the coach was right to be concerned; he's diagnosed with a mild traumatic brain injury and will need to take some time off from training before he's cleared to fight again.

Next up, we meet a karate instructor who has a broken nose. He explains to the camera crew that he was sparring with a student who threw a roundhouse kick that caught him right in the face. Despite the injury, he's still in high spirits and jokes that he's glad he's not a model. The medical staff are impressed by his positive attitude, but they know that he'll need surgery to fix the break.

The third patient we see is a mixed martial artist who has dislocated his shoulder. He explains that he was in a fight and went to throw a punch, but his shoulder popped out of joint before he could connect. He managed to finish the fight with just one arm, but he knew something was seriously wrong when he couldn't lift his arm up afterwards. At the hospital, the medical team has to put the shoulder back in place, which is a painful procedure even under anesthesia.

Moving on from combat sports, we meet a woman who has a bizarre injury from simply walking her dog. Apparently, the dog saw a squirrel and leapt away from her suddenly, yanking the leash with it. The woman ended up falling face-first onto the sidewalk and doing serious damage to her teeth. She's been left with a noticeable gap and some loose teeth, which the dental team has to work hard to fix.

Finally, the episode wraps up with a return to martial arts, this time with a practitioner of Wing Chun Kung Fu. He's been grappling with a partner when he suddenly felt something give way in his leg. He thought it was a simple muscle strain, but after a day of resting and icing, the pain wasn't getting any better. He goes to the hospital to find out that he's actually torn his hamstring, and he'll be off the mat for a while.

Overall, the episode is a fast-paced and action-packed look at the injuries that can be sustained during martial arts training and competitions. It's clear that these athletes are passionate about their sports, but they also know that there's a risk of injury every time they step onto the mat. The medical staff at the hospitals featured in the episode are all highly skilled and compassionate, doing their best to help the patients recover quickly and safely. Despite the often gruesome injuries on display, the episode manages to stay lighthearted and entertaining throughout.
