As she is scouring the city for the killer, Vicki meets a handsome man named Henry Fitzroy, who works as a graphic novelist. They strike up a conversation, and Vicki learns that Henry is a vampire. Vicki is initially skeptical, but Henry proves his point by showing her his fangs. Vicki is taken aback but decides to give Henry a chance.

Henry and Vicki work together to track down the killer, but their investigation is hindered by Mike Celluci, a former cop who had a history with Vicki. Mike is also investigating the serial killings and is not happy about working with Vicki. He is gruff and antagonistic and does not respect Vicki's abilities as an investigator.

Despite their differences, the three eventually come together to hunt down the killer. In the end, they are led to a warehouse where the killer is holding a victim hostage. They confront the killer, and a fight ensues. With the help of her companions, Vicki is able to subdue the killer and rescue the hostage.
