Frank Reagan, the New York City Police Commissioner, is fighting for justice every day for the people in his city. In episode 19 of season 2 of Blue Bloods, titled "Some Kind of Hero," Frank sets out to handle a case that involves two police officers who are accused of using excessive force during an arrest.

The controversy begins when a bystander captures on their phone a video of the police officers hitting an unarmed suspect with their baton during an arrest. The video soon goes viral and a public outcry ensues, calling for justice for the victim.

As Frank investigates the case and speaks with the officers involved, it becomes clear that there is more to the story than what is shown on the video. The victim, who has a history of violence and a criminal record, was behaving erratically and had a weapon on him at the time of the arrest. The officers had to use force in order to subdue him and protect themselves.

However, the public opinion remains set against the officers, and Frank faces potentially damaging consequences. He must navigate the minefield of politics and public opinion as he argues for the officers' actions, all while ensuring that justice is ultimately served.

Meanwhile, Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg), Frank's son and a fellow police detective, is investigating a robbery at a jewelry store. The investigation takes a turn when the store's security footage reveals that a young boy was present during the robbery. Danny must unravel the mystery behind the boy's involvement in the crime and determine if he was acting alone or as part of a larger group.

In other parts of the Reagan family, Erin Reagan (played by Bridget Moynahan), Frank's daughter and an assistant district attorney, is dealing with a difficult case of her own. She must prosecute a man accused of a hate crime, but as she digs deeper into the case, she questions whether the man's actions were indeed motivated by hate or if there is a deeper motive at play.

With all of these cases converging at once, the Reagan family must work together to uphold their commitment to justice and the law. "Some Kind of Hero" is a testament to the complexities of law enforcement and the importance of fair and just treatment for all.
