Danny and Jackie are assigned to investigate when a young woman is found dead in the park. As they delve deeper into the case, they discover that the woman was working as an escort, and that her clients included some of the city's wealthiest and most powerful men. With the help of Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan-Boyle (Bridget Moynahan), Danny and Jackie are able to uncover a web of corruption that reaches all the way to City Hall.
Meanwhile, Jamie grows increasingly frustrated with his role as a beat cop, and begins to moonlight as a bartender to make some extra money. When he witnesses a fight at the bar, he tries to intervene, only to find himself in the middle of a dangerous altercation. As Jamie struggles to keep his two jobs separate, his family begins to worry about the toll that his double life is taking on him.
At the same time, Frank faces a crisis of conscience when he is asked to endorse a controversial new police initiative. As the pressure mounts from both inside and outside the department, Frank must decide whether to go along with the plan or risk everything to stand up for what he believes is right.
In the end, all of the Reagans are forced to confront some tough questions about their own values and beliefs. With the city on the brink of chaos, they must rely on each other more than ever to keep themselves and their community safe.
