Ep 15. Warriors

Frank Reagan is pulling over a driver who was texting while driving a car. While he is talking to the driver, Witten, a police officer in the 12th precinct, stops a suspect in a robbery at a convenience store. The suspect pushes Witten and runs away. Witten, Danny, and Baez start chasing him.

Jamie and his partner, Vinny, are driving around when they see a woman in an apartment window waving her arms. They go into the building and find an elderly woman lying on the floor. Jamie calls for an ambulance.

Meanwhile, the chase continues when the suspect jumps into the back of a truck. Danny and Baez follow him while Witten pursues on foot. The truck stops, and the suspect starts shooting. Baez retaliates, and the suspect is killed.

The suspect’s accomplice is taken into custody; Jamie and Vinny assist in the investigation. They learn that the two men were part of the Warriors, a gang that is trying to reclaim their old neighborhood. The gang wants the tenants in the area to feel unsafe enough to move out, so they can buy the properties and take over.

Danny and Baez are being interviewed by the Internal Affairs Bureau for the shooting. Danny lies about how the situation played out. Later, Danny and Baez get into a fight, and Danny tells Baez that she put his job in jeopardy.

Jamie and Vinny are surveilling the Warriors. Vinny gets a call from his personal trainer, who says he saw Jamie’s picture in the newspaper regarding the rescue at the apartment building. The newspaper says that Jamie had a partner with him, which is a violation of the Blue Wall. Jamie and Vinny have a heated argument. Later, Jamie goes to apologize to Vinny and says he should have been truthful.

Erin’s ex-husband, Jack, is back in town, and he invites her to dinner. Erin agrees but tells him that it is as friends. While at dinner, Jack tells Erin that he still has feelings for her and wants to try again. Erin tells him no.

Frank speaks with Witten and the two have a heart-to-heart conversation about the challenges of being a female officer in a male-dominated field and the department's responsibility to ensure their safety.

In the end, the Warriors are arrested, and the accomplice confesses to everything. Danny and Baez make amends, and Danny apologizes for not trusting her. Jamie and Vinny reconcile, and Vinny says he is willing to take the fall for Jamie's lie. Frank takes Witten's concerns seriously and assures her that the department is making changes to ensure the safety of all its officers. Erin ends up crying because of Jack’s confession, and Frank offers her comfort.
