Booze Traveler Season 3 Episode 24 Extra Shots: Peru Is Magic

As our Booze Traveler Jack Maxwell heads to Peru, he gets a chance to explore the country's rich history and diverse culture while tasting some of the most unique and delicious drinks the nation has to offer. He begins his journey in Lima, where he enjoys the classic cocktail, Pisco Sour, which is made with the Peruvian grape brandy, Pisco. Jack then makes his way to the Andes to visit the ancient city of Cusco, where he meets locals and samples Chicha de Jora, a traditional corn beer that's been brewed for thousands of years by the Incas.

Next, Jack heads to Machu Picchu, where he hikes to the breathtaking mountain ruins and explores some of the region's lesser-known Incan sites. While he's there, he gets to taste another drink called Maca Sour, which is made from root vegetables that grow in the high altitudes of Peru. This unique drink not only tastes great, but it's also believed to have healing properties.

After leaving Machu Picchu, Jack travels to the Sacred Valley to try some of the region's best ciders.
