In Booze Traveler season 4 episode 17, host Jack Maxwell heads out to the Pacific Northwest to explore the region's unique and diverse beverages. From craft beers to local wines and to spirits made from local ingredients, Jack is on a mission to uncover the best booze the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Jack starts his journey in Portland, Oregon, widely known for its thriving craft brewing scene. Here, Jack meets with master brewer John Harris, who takes him on a tour of one of the city's top breweries. Jack tries out a variety of delicious beers, ranging from hoppy IPAs to rich, smoky stouts.

Next stop is Seattle, Washington, where Jack takes a ride on a seaplane to visit one of the region's most remote and charming cider makers. Here, he discovers how cider is made from the apple to the bottle and even gets a chance to press some apples himself. Jack samples some of the delicious ciders and is taken aback by the depth of flavors and the crispness of the apples.

Jack's thirst for the unique takes him to the remote Olympic Peninsula of Washington. Here, he meets some of the regions' artisanal winemakers who are creating world-class wine from grapes that some thought would never be capable of thriving in the region's climate. Jack learns about the region's ideal winemaking weather conditions and how the woodsy, rich character of Pacific Northwest wines is making an impact in the wine industry.

The final stop on Jack's Pacific Northwest beverage journey is to a legendary distillery in the forested hills of Washington State. This traditional yet innovative distillery is creating spirits that are as diverse and full of character as the region itself. Among the distillery's many offerings is a gin made from local juniper berries, and Jack gets to sample some of the unique concoctions while exploring the distillery.

Throughout his journey, Jack discovers the rich history and unique character of the Pacific Northwest's beloved beverages. Whether it's cider, wine, beer, or spirits, the region is home to a remarkable array of flavors and creations. Join Jack as he sips, savors, and uncovers the best boozy gems of the Pacific Northwest.
