Pax Vobiscum is the fourth episode of the second season of the historical drama series Borgia, which is set in the 15th century and tells the story of the infamous Borgia family and their rise to power in Renaissance Rome.

The episode begins with Pope Alexander VI, played by Jeremy Irons, seeking to make peace with the powerful and influential leader of Florence, Lorenzo de' Medici. Hoping to gain his support for an upcoming war, the Pope invites Lorenzo to Rome for a meeting. However, tensions rise when Lorenzo is accompanied by his own army, and the Pope must navigate the delicate balance of power between the two leaders.

Meanwhile, Cesare Borgia, played by François Arnaud, is faced with his own challenges as he attempts to build an alliance with the French army. Cesare is haunted by the memories of his former lover, Ursula, who was executed by his own father for spying on him. Despite the danger that comes with working for the Borgia family, Cesare manages to recruit a group of loyal spies to help him in his quest for power.

The show also focuses on the ongoing struggles of Lucrezia Borgia, played by Holliday Grainger, as she navigates her own love life and attempts to assert herself in a patriarchal society. Lucrezia is caught between two suitors: her husband, who is cold and distant towards her, and her former lover, who is still in love with her. As she tries to make sense of her own feelings, Lucrezia must also come to terms with the fact that she may never be able to marry for love.

The episode is beautifully shot and expertly acted, with standout performances from Irons, Arnaud, and Grainger. Overall, it is a thrilling addition to the series and leaves viewers eagerly anticipating what is to come next.
