In Boy Meets World season 4 episode 21, titled "Cult Fiction," Cory and Shawn join a cult-like group called The Centre, led by a charismatic leader named Mr. Mack. The boys are initially attracted to the group's message of positivity and self-improvement, but they soon realize that The Centre is more of a pyramid scheme than a genuine movement. As they try to extricate themselves from the group's grip, Cory and Shawn must confront the fact that they have been taken advantage of and learn to trust their own instincts. Meanwhile, Eric tries to fix a leaky faucet in the apartment with disastrous results, and Topanga and Angela attend a feminist poetry reading with mixed emotions.

The episode begins with Cory and Shawn browsing the mall when they stumble upon a group of people handing out flyers for The Centre. Intrigued by the promise of being "the best you can be," the boys sign up for a consultation with Mr. Mack, The Centre's leader. After a charming and persuasive pitch, the boys are sold on the idea of joining The Centre and begin attending meetings. At first, the group seems harmless enough, with its emphasis on positive thinking and personal growth. But as the boys become more involved, they start to notice some red flags. For one thing, the group seems more interested in recruiting new members than actually helping people. And for another, the meetings become increasingly focused on selling expensive seminars and books rather than actual self-improvement.

Cory and Shawn eventually realize that they have been sucked in by a cult rather than a legitimate movement. They try to leave The Centre, but find that it's not so easy to leave once you're in. The group's other members pressure them to stay, telling them that they shouldn't give up on their dreams and that they're just not committed enough to succeed. It's only when Mr. Mack reveals his true intentions--to use The Centre as a way to sell his own products--that the boys finally realize that they need to get out. With the help of their friend and mentor Mr. Feeny, they make a dramatic break from The Centre and learn an important lesson about trusting themselves.

Meanwhile, Eric is struggling with a different kind of self-improvement--fixing a leaky faucet in the apartment. Despite his best efforts, he only succeeds in flooding the entire apartment and causing chaos. Topanga and Angela, meanwhile, attend a feminist poetry reading and have mixed feelings about the poetry and its message.

In "Cult Fiction," Boy Meets World tackles the issue of cults and their insidious influence on vulnerable people. The episode is a cautionary tale about the dangers of blindly following charismatic leaders, and the importance of trusting your own judgment. The subplot involving Eric's attempts at DIY plumbing adds a side of lighthearted humor to the episode, while Topanga and Angela's attendance at the feminist poetry reading adds a touch of social commentary. Overall, "Cult Fiction" is an engaging and thought-provoking episode that highlights some of the show's most important themes.
