Bring the Funny was a comedy competition show on NBC that premiered in July 2019. The show was created to discover the funniest comedy acts from across the country.

The show started with open calls and scouting events in six cities across the United States. Thousands of comics auditioned for the show, and only 40 were invited to the competition. The 40 acts included stand-up comedians, sketch comedy groups, and variety acts. They were divided into three categories: stand-up, sketch, and variety.

Each episode of Bring the Funny consisted of performances by the contestants in front of a live audience and the judges. The judges provided feedback and decided which acts would move on to the next round. The contestants that made it through the first round were then put into head-to-head battles against each other, with the winner moving onto the next round.

The show had several memorable moments throughout its run. One of the most talked-about performances was by comedian Chris Redd, who delivered a hilarious set that had the judges in stitches. Another standout moment was when sketch comedy group The Valleyfolk performed their sketch "Shane Dawson's Mind", which went viral online and received praise from Comedy Central's Key and Peele.

In the final episode, the remaining acts competed for the prize of $250,000 and a spot in the 2020 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. The final four acts were stand-up comedian Dino Archie, sketch comedy group Frangela, variety act Final Draft, and stand-up comedian Tacarra Williams.

In the end, Tacarra Williams was crowned the winner of Bring the Funny. Williams charmed the judges and audiences alike with her relatable and hilarious stand-up sets, and she earned the majority of the votes from the judges and the live studio audience.
