Brooke Knows Best was a reality that focused on Hulk Hogan's daughter, Brooke. It was a spin-off of the family-centered Hogan Knows Best, which had just been canceled in light of the problems that began to plague the Hogan clan after appearing on their own show. Brooke's show followed her as she embarked upon adulthood and pursued her music career. The first few episodes of Brooke Knows Best depicted her looking for new apartments with the friends who would become her roommates. She eventually settled on a penthouse loft with roof access and a hot tub. In a bid to be mature, she installed a stripper pole in her living room under the guise of using it as an exercise tool. Her tendency to be a people pleaser would frequently get her into trouble. She attempted to impress her friends by performing a complicated pole routine for them, only for a video of that event to end up on the Internet. One of her friends had set her up and filmed the pole routine on a cell phone. It created a bit of a real-life scandal for Brooke, who struggled to maintain her good-girl image in light of everything else that was happening to her family. A recurring theme on Brooke Knows Best was Hulk's reluctance to let his daughter grow up. Whenever he caught wind that Brooke was having a party, he would drive by the apartment to check up on her. Once he even went through her apartment and found her birth control pill, which he perceived as indicators of wild, reckless behavior. In reality, Brooke was just trying to make the right choices while dealing with the public scrutiny that comes with being a television celebrity. The show depicted her doing normal things like dating and arguing with her friends. When her music career fell flat, she considered going to college. The show ended on a high note when she was given the opportunity to perform at a concert in Miami. As promotional material for Brooke's music career, the show was unsuccessful, but it did show the world how a genuinely sweet girl was coping with her troubled family life.
