Ep 1. San Francisco Bay Showdown

The Brothers are back! The highly anticipated sixth season of Brother vs. Brother premiered with the first episode titled "San Francisco Bay Showdown". The show pits two of HGTV's most beloved stars, Drew and Jonathan Scott, against each other in a series of challenges to complete an entire home renovation project.

Each brother tries his best to stay on track with their renovation planning, but they face pressure on all fronts, from budgetary constraints to the ticking clock, to obstacles in their vision.

At one point in the challenge, Drew decides to add a breakfast nook into the mix, but the question is, will it enhance or take away from his envisioned modern kitchen design. Meanwhile, Jonathan decides on raising the ceiling and installing an extractor in the kitchen for better circulation.

The renovation challenge comes down to the final reveal, with Drew's finished renovation featuring a classic marble countertop paired with solid wood cabinets and a large black stove. On the other end, Jonathan's has a classic modern feel, with pendant lighting, a white farmhouse sink, and a custom-built island. Both kitchens feature innovative design and beautiful finishes, with a final touch of personality respectively added by each brother.

The episode ends with the big reveal in front of a panel of judges who rate each brother's work based on a list of criteria, from design aesthetics to how much the renovation added to the home's resale value. The winning brother scores a point in this episode's competition, and moves one step closer to winning the ultimate prize - bragging rights for winning Brother vs. Brother Season 6!
