Ep 2. The Landscape With a King

The episode titled "The Landscape With a King" of Campione! season 1 takes off with the aftermath of the battle between the various gods. Godou is the new Campione but is not happy with this mantle as he does not feel worthy of it. In the meantime, Erica Blandelli, the beautiful woman accompanying him, tries to calm him down and suggests that they take a walk so that Godou can get a better look at the world around them.

Godou accompanies Erica to a park, where their conversation is interrupted by a group of young men playing soccer. As he watches the game, Godou senses something off about their movements. He deduces that they are using divine powers to manipulate the ball and decides to confront them. The boys reveal that they are members of a cult that worships a powerful god, who helped them to perform such miracles.

Later, they meet up with Liliana Kranjcar, another knight in the service of the magic association. After some discussion, they decide to visit the temple of the god, Perseus. Godou and Erica come face to face with the high priestess of the temple, who reveals that the cult believes that Godou is their messiah.

In the temple, they come across the portrait of the king, Perseus. Godou realizes that the king's story is too similar to his own. As they try to leave, the temple is attacked by the present wielder of the Babylon's treasure, Voban. Godou thinks about using his newfound powers to defeat Voban, but he still doubts his abilities.

As the battle ensues, Godou realizes that he is not fighting alone. His friends have come to his support, and he is now feeling more confident. With their support and his new powers, Godou faces off against Voban in an epic battle. The episode ends with the aftermath of the fight, and Godou's realization that he is now fully capable of being the Campione.

Overall, this episode is full of action, mythology, and introduces new characters and concepts to the show. It follows up nicely from episode 1 and sets the stage for the rest of the season.
