Captain Planet and the Planeteers Season 2 Episode 22 Scorched Earth

The show Captain Planet and the Planeteers follows a group of young people who have been given magical rings that allow them to control the elements of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Heart. Together with their mentor Gaia, a spirit of the Earth, they work to protect the planet from environmental destruction and pollution. Ma-Ti stays behind to help Gaia and communicate with the animals in the forest.

As the Planeteers work to gather information and come up with a plan, Hoggish's destruction of the rainforest continues. He doesn't care about the environmental consequences of his actions, as long as he can profit from them. Meanwhile, the Planeteers discover that Hoggish has hired a group of mercenaries to protect the construction site and keep the Planeteers from interfering. Undeterred, the Planeteers continue to work on their plan.

As the episode progresses, tension begins to mount as Hoggish and his mercenaries become more aggressive in their efforts to clear the forest. The Planeteers must act quickly if they are going to prevent a complete environmental disaster. But even with all their powers and the help of the animals in the rainforest, they are not sure if they will be able to stop Hoggish before it's too late.
