In Cop Craft season 1 episode 8, titled "SMELLS LIKE TOON SPIRIT," the city of San-Teresa is getting ready for its annual Halloween festival as the night of the dead draws near. The episode starts with a youth center worker, Jennifer, reporting the disappearance of a teenage girl who was last seen with a popular street comedian, Pegg. After questioning Pegg, the detectives, Tilarna and Kei, believe he is guilty of abducting the girl.
While investigating the comedian, the detectives discover a group of people dressed as cartoon characters holding a meeting in a warehouse. The group is organizing a protest against the new law that requires them, as "multi-dimensional beings," to pay taxes. Tilarna finds herself in the middle of the demonstration, which turns violent when the protesters turn on the police.
As the night wears on, the city is plunged into darkness, and the streets become even more dangerous than usual. Kei and Tilarna search for the missing girl in the shadowy alleys, but the situation soon becomes more complicated when they run into King Bee, a notorious gang leader who is powerful enough to control all the other gangs in the city. King Bee is also after the missing girl, and he is not willing to let the police interfere with his plans.
Amidst the chaos, Kei and Tilarna find themselves confronting King Bee's henchmen in a dark and abandoned warehouse. The situation becomes even more intense as they discover that the missing girl is actually the daughter of King Bee's right-hand man, and he is out for revenge against the gang leader.
While trying to stop a gang war from breaking out, Kei and Tilarna also have to deal with the fact that the cartoon characters have taken over the city hall. The appearance of the so-called "multi-dimensional beings" in the city has sparked a new wave of violence, and it's up to the detectives to restore order before it's too late.
Overall, Cop Craft season 1 episode 8 takes viewers on a wild ride through the dark and dangerous streets of San-Teresa. With the Halloween festival as the backdrop, the episode uses the cartoon characters to explore deeper themes of power, control, and rebellion. As usual, Kei and Tilarna's banter is a highlight of the episode, providing some much-needed humor amidst the chaos. Despite the intense action, the episode manages to deliver a satisfying conclusion, setting up the stage for the final stretch of the first season.
