Sally and Kevin are devastated at the news. The surgeon tells Sally that after the mastectomy she will need chemotherapy. Sian says an emotional goodbye to Ryan and Sophie and leaves for Bournemouth. When Sunita tells Dev that she's called off her engagement and broken up with Matt, he can barely conceal his delight. Sally breaks the news to Rosie and Sophie that she's having a mastectomy. Mary insists that Norris needs a few days off work and promises to run the Kabin for him in his absence. Norris begrudgingly agrees. Bill catches Joe attempting to steal cash from the cancer collection in the Rovers. He's appalled and Joe tries to deny his actions. When Joe tells Rick he hasn't got his money, Rick makes a grab for him. Joe manages to get away but Rick and his sidekick give chase. Joe manages to lose Rick and hides in Fiz's backyard, a terrified man. Pam spells it out to Molly that she's lost Kevin for good and she'd be better off making a go of her marriage. But Molly remains in denial. When Sophie tells Kevin she said a prayer for Sally, Kevin loses it and vents all his pent-up anger and anxiety on poor Sophie. Sophie runs from the house.
