Ep 11. Rhino Skin

In the eleventh episode of Cougar Town season 1, entitled "Rhino Skin," Jules Cobb (played by Courteney Cox) and Grayson Ellis (played by Josh Hopkins) deal with the aftermath of their brief, rocky relationship. Grayson is still hurt after Jules broke things off with him, and their tension spills over into their mutual friend group. Meanwhile, Jules' ex-husband Bobby (played by Brian Van Holt) struggles with his fear of aquatic life, causing him to avoid swimming at the beach during a weekend getaway.

Despite Jules' attempts to convince him to come to the beach anyway, Bobby spends most of the weekend hanging back at the hotel and avoiding the water.

As tensions continue to escalate between Jules and Grayson, they both turn to their friends for support. Jules confides in Laurie (played by Busy Philipps), who encourages her to stay strong and not let Grayson get the best of her. Grayson, on the other hand, seeks advice from Andy (played by Ian Gomez), who tells him to ignore Jules and that he's better off without her.

However, as the group continues to spend time together over the weekend, they're forced to confront their issues head-on. After Bobby has a heart-to-heart with Jules about his fear of the ocean, he decides to face his fear and go for a swim. Meanwhile, Jules and Grayson finally come to a understanding about their relationship and decide to put their past behind them.

"Rhino Skin" is an episode that's all about confronting fears and dealing with emotional baggage. Jules and Grayson are both still nursing their wounds from their fling, but they're able to work through their issues and move on. Bobby's fear of the ocean is a recurring theme throughout the episode, and his eventual decision to face his fears is a triumphant moment. Overall, "Rhino Skin" is a funny and heartfelt episode that highlights the strength of the characters' friendships and their ability to overcome obstacles together.
