Counting Cars is a reality television show that takes a deep dive into the world of custom automobiles and the artistry of customization. In its sixth season, episode 15, entitled 'Superfine Econoline,' the team at Count's Kustoms takes on a unique and challenging project.

The star of this episode is a 1969 Ford Econoline van, which belongs to a local photographer looking for a one-of-a-kind creation. The client has some specific requests, calling for a retro, bohemian twist. Hoping to give the Econoline a new lease on life, the Count's Kustoms team dives in, eager to make their client's vision a reality.

The team consists of Danny "The Count" Koker, Kevin, Scott, and Ryan, along with their apprentice, Charles, also known as "Horny Mike." As always, the group gets started by examining the van closely, trying to get a sense of the project parameters while keeping the client's wishes in mind. This particular Econoline proves especially tricky because it is essentially two vehicles in one, with separate compartments for the driver and passengers.

The Count's Kustoms team begins by stripping the Econoline bare, taking off all the upholstery and interior trim. They also take a close look at the van's engine, which turns out to be in surprisingly good shape. With the engine sorted, the team moves onto bodywork, sanding down the exterior of the van until it is smooth and ready for its new paint job.

But the real challenge comes when it's time to put the new bohemian spin on the Econoline's design. The client wants the van to have a vintage, 1970s feel, complete with upholstered wall panels and lava lamps. Luckily, the Count's Kustoms team is up for the challenge. They get to work creating custom vinyl wall panels, which they then punch with holes and inset with switches and knobs, giving the van a highly unique look.

The team then takes on the upholstery, outfitting the Econoline with luxurious, retro-style leather seats. These updated seats not only look great, but they are also functional, providing comfortable seating for the passenger compartment.

Throughout the episode, it's clear that the Count's Kustoms team is passionate about their craft, with each member bringing their own expertise to the project. Kevin works his magic in the paint booth, laying down a bright orange base coat before adding a custom stripe and graphics to give the Econoline its distinctive look. Meanwhile, Ryan and Horny Mike work on some of the van's more unusual features, such as the ornate metal sunroof and a custom Mahogany steering wheel.

In the end, the team is able to turn the client's vision into a reality, with the Econoline emerging as a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The new design is a stunning tribute to the bohemian, 1970s style that the client requested. Along with the custom wall panels and upholstery, the van boasts all kinds of unique features, from hand-carved wooden accents to a custom-built sound system.

As always, Counting Cars offers a fascinating look at the world of custom automobiles, showcasing the skill and creativity required to take a basic vehicle and turn it into a work of art. And with this particular Econoline, the team at Count's Kustoms managed to meet the client's specific requirements while also creating an unforgettable, show-stopping vehicle.
