However, it is not the same town that Johnny knows from his own time. In this version of Cleaves Mills, the town is controlled by a man named Bill Turcotte, who is the head of the local corrupt police department.

Johnny also realizes that he has been transported into the body of a man named Jake, who is a character from the Heroes & Demons show. Jake is a hero in the show, and he soon finds himself in a real-life battle against Turcotte and his men. Jake is aided in his fight by a woman named Charlotte, who is also a character from the show.

As Johnny starts to navigate this new world, he realizes that the disaster he saw at the convention was actually a butterfly effect caused by his trip back in time. Johnny knows that he has to find a way to set things right and prevent the disaster from happening.
