Ep 3. The Disturbed

In Deadly Women season 3 episode 3 titled "The Disturbed," viewers are taken on a chilling journey through the twisted minds of three different female killers, each with their own disturbing motives for murder.

The episode begins by introducing Sarah Aldrete, a member of the notorious satanic cult known as the Matamoros. Aldrete was responsible for the brutal murder of Mark Kilroy, a college student who was vacationing in Matamoros, Mexico with some friends. Aldrete and her fellow cult members believed that sacrificing Kilroy would bring them supernatural powers. They lured him to their compound, where Aldrete personally held him down while he was tortured and eventually killed.

Next, we meet Dorothea Puente, a seemingly sweet and harmless elderly woman who ran a boarding house for the elderly in Sacramento, California. However, underneath her kindly exterior, Puente was a cold-blooded serial killer who preyed on her vulnerable tenants. Over the years, she killed multiple people and buried their bodies in her yard. When police finally caught on, they discovered a shocking graveyard of victims hidden beneath Puente's home.

Finally, the episode features the disturbing case of Maria del Rosario Alfaro, a mentally ill woman who killed her own daughter, Brandi, in a fit of rage. Alfaro had a history of mental illness and had been abusing drugs and alcohol when she attacked Brandi. She stabbed her repeatedly and then called the police, claiming that she had killed the devil who was possessing her daughter.

Throughout the episode, viewers are given a glimpse into the psychology of each killer, as well as the circumstances that led to their heinous crimes. From the twisted beliefs of satanic cults to the hidden darkness lurking beneath seemingly innocuous facades, "The Disturbed" is a harrowing exploration of the darkest corners of the human psyche.
