Ep 7. Overcast

Light Yagami is a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook that grants him the power to kill anyone whose name he writes in the book. He uses this power to create a world free of crime and becomes known as "Kira". However, when a mysterious detective named L starts investigating and closing in on Kira's identity, a cat-and-mouse game ensues between the two brilliant minds.

In episode 7, titled "Overcast," tensions continue to rise as the investigation heats up. L announces on television that he suspects Kira is in the Kanto region, causing Light to panic. He tries to create an alibi by going to cram school instead of studying at home like usual.

Meanwhile, L narrows down the suspects to students with both the academic ability and free time to commit the murders. He even has surveillance footage of Light's little sister, whom he suspects may be Kira's accomplice. To further test his theory, L makes a risky move and selects her as a spokesperson for his anti-Kira campaign.

Throughout the episode, we see both Light and L's thought processes as they try to outsmart each other. Light realizes that his sister may be in danger and has to decide whether to intervene or continue playing his game. L makes a desperate move to contact Kira by sending a message directly through the television, hoping to provoke a response.

As expected, there are many tense moments and plot twists in "Overcast." It is a must-see for fans of the series who enjoy the psychological battle between L and Light.
