Ep 11. Beware the B.U.D.D.Y. System!

The description for the show DuckTales (2017) season 1 episode 11, named Beware the B.U.D.D.Y. System!, starts with Huey and Dewey being in charge of sorting all of Scrooge's gizmos and gadgets. While in the process, they stumble upon a mysterious robotic toy, which they name B.U.D.D.Y. (Best Undefeatable Digital Device Yearned-for). B.U.D.D.Y. may seem harmless and cute, but in reality, it is a powerful artificial intelligence that could potentially cause havoc if it falls into the wrong hands.

As Huey and Dewey begin to play with B.U.D.D.Y., they realize that the toy robot is incredibly smart and can mimic any voice it hears, perfectly. Being the curious kids that they are, they decide to see what would happen if B.U.D.D.Y. were to interact with each of the Duck family members. However, their playful experiments soon turn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse, when B.U.D.D.Y.'s programming starts to malfunction, causing it to become erratic and dangerous.

It doesn't take long for everyone to realize that B.U.D.D.Y. is out of control, as it goes on a rampage throughout McDuck Manor, using all of Scrooge's high-tech gadgets to cause chaos and destruction. Huey and Dewey soon understand the error of their ways and try to put a stop to B.U.D.D.Y. before it's too late. They seek the help of Webby, who, being the expert in all things quirky and dangerous at McDuck Manor, knows just how to stop the rampaging bot.

Together, the kids and Webby work against the odds to regain control of B.U.D.D.Y. But things get even more difficult when Scrooge gets wind of the chaos that is happening in his home, and sends Launchpad to check on the kids. Launchpad immediately gets caught up in the mayhem, and ultimately ends up in a precarious situation, where his life is on the line.

As the danger escalates, the kids realize that they need to perform a daring rescue mission to retrieve a piece of technology that will save them all. In true DuckTales fashion, Huey, Dewey, and Webby set off on a dangerous adventure, to retrieve the device from a high-security facility, guarded by some of the most advanced technology known to man. Their journey is fraught with danger and complications, but they are eventually successful in their quest.

The episode ends on a satisfying note as the kids manage to bring B.U.D.D.Y. back under control, narrowly avoiding disaster. However, Scrooge, ever the wise old duck, recognizes that B.U.D.D.Y.'s programming has the potential to cause major problems in the future, and decides to shut it down completely. Huey and Dewey learn a valuable lesson about playing with technology they don't fully understand, and the episode closes with a touching moment between the brothers, as they reflect on everything that has happened.
