As president fo the Provisional Government Pearse signed the surrender documents at the end of Easter week and was the first if the signatories to be executed on the morning of May 3rd 1916.

Eamonn Ceannt the piper na daccountant was one of the key men behind the 1916 Rising. He fierce passion for Ireland ensured he fought bravely to the end, initially refusing to surrender when the orders came through from the GPO to his South Dublin Union stronghold and was eventually ececuted by firing squad on May 8th 1916.

Thomas MacDonagh, university lectured, teacher, poet and playwright is seen by many as an unlikely revolutionary but he commanded the Volunteer forces in Jacob's Biscuit factory during Easter week and died in front of a firing squad on May 3rd 1916.

Joe Plunkett, poet , writer and dreamer was the baby of the revolution. Rising form his sick bed to take part in the Easter rising Plunkett was executed on May 4th but not before he married his love Grace Gifford in Kilmainham jail just hours before.

Connolly was a tireless advocate for the working class poor of the world and his position within the inner circle of planners for the Easter rising ensured that the poor had a voice at the table.

Tom Clarke tobacconist and shopkeeper was without doubt the father of the 1916 Easter Rising. This old Fenians steely determination and resolve ensured that the Rising happened but it's success or failure would depend on many other factors.
