Ep 11. Play On

After a hiatus following a mid-season cliffhanger, 'Empire' season 3 returns with a new episode, titled 'Play On'. The episode follows the Lyon family as they deal with the fallout from the shocking events of the mid-season finale, which saw several of the family's members forced to confront the consequences of their actions.

As Empire Entertainment continues to struggle under the weight of Hakeem's poor leadership and Lucious' schemes, the family is forced to come together once again to try and save the company from financial ruin. In addition to dealing with the business side of things, the Lyons are also forced to confront their personal issues head-on, as they navigate a series of complicated relationships and family dramas.

As Angelo ramps up his campaign to become the city's next mayor, Jamal is forced to grapple with his own demons and decide whether or not he can be an effective leader while dealing with personal struggles.

Meanwhile, Cookie and Lucious continue to spin their web of lies and deception as they try to outmaneuver each other at every turn. While Cookie works to put her new label on the map, Lucious tries to sabotage her efforts at every turn, leading to a dangerous game of cat and mouse between the ex-spouses.

As tensions continue to mount and the stakes get higher, the Lyons are forced to confront their own fears and weaknesses in order to survive. Whether they can come together as a family and overcome their personal struggles remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: there are no easy answers in the world of 'Empire'.
