Ep 17. Sky Rock Gate

Renton and the rest of the Gekko crew arrive at a rock formation in the sky known as Sky Rock Gate, where they hope to find a way to communicate with the Coralian beings that have been causing chaos on Earth. Renton, Eureka, and Anemone are sent to explore the area in their Nirvash machines while the rest of the crew maintains the Gekko's position.

As they investigate the area, Renton and Eureka are suddenly attacked by a group of military LFOs. Renton struggles to keep up with their advanced technology, and Eureka is immobilized by a strange energy field. Anemone appears and destroys the LFOs, but is angered by Renton's presence and attacks him as well. Renton finally manages to escape by using a clever maneuver with his Nirvash.

Back on the Gekko, the crew detects another energy signature approaching Sky Rock Gate. It turns out to be the Izumo, a military ship commanded by Major Charles Beams. The Gekko crew is wary of him, but Charles claims to be on a peacekeeping mission and offers to help them communicate with the Coralian beings. Renton, skeptical of Charles' intentions, volunteers to go with him in secret to investigate.

Charles takes Renton to a hidden lab near Sky Rock Gate where they meet with Dr. Greg "Bear" Egan, a scientist who has been studying the Coralian beings. Bear explains that the beings are actually a form of intelligent life, but they have been heavily affected by the wars and conflicts of humanity. He believes that if they can communicate with the beings, they may be able to find a way to coexist peacefully.

Meanwhile, Eureka is haunted by visions of the Coralian beings. She begins to feel a strong connection with them, and even begins to exhibit some of their abilities. Anemone also begins to experience strange sensations as well, but in a much more violent and destructive manner.

As Renton and Charles make their way back to the Gekko, they stumble upon Anemone who has gone on a rampage and is attacking everything around her. Renton tries to reason with her, but Anemone reveals that she is the product of a secret military project aimed at creating a new ultimate weapon. She blames Renton and the Gekko crew for ruining her life and attacks them.

The situation worsens when the Coralian beings begin to appear around Anemone, drawn by her intense negative energy. With no other options, Renton and Charles launch an attack on Anemone's Nirvash, forcing her to eject and sending her plummeting towards the surface. However, the Coralian beings suddenly converge on Anemone and absorb her into their collective consciousness.

As the Gekko crew prepares to leave Sky Rock Gate, Renton and Eureka share a heartfelt moment, as both of them have been deeply affected by their experiences. Charles also bids them farewell and expresses his hope that humanity and the Coralian beings can find a way to coexist peacefully.
