Ep 6. Childhood

Renton is having trouble fitting in with the crew of the Gekko and decides to run away. However, he soon finds himself in trouble when he is attacked by a group of kids who want to steal the Nirvash. As Renton tries to fight them off, he discovers that they are all orphans who have been living alone since the start of the war with the Coralians. Feeling sorry for them, Renton decides to help them and tries to find a way to get them off the planet. Meanwhile, the Gekko crew discovers that the military is planning to use a new weapon to destroy a Coralians stronghold and decide to use this opportunity to attack them. However, Holland has doubts about the mission and decides to investigate further. As Renton helps the orphans, he starts to remember his own troubled childhood and how he was saved by his sister. Eventually, the orphans are able to leave the planet with the Nirvash, and Renton decides to stay with the Gekko crew. As the episode ends, the Gekko sets off to the Coralians stronghold, with Renton now fully committed to their cause.
