Nancy's Dog Show Disaster; The Case of the Disappearing Doll is the tenth episode of the first season of Fancy Nancy. The episode opens with Nancy's preparations for her school's dog show. As always, Nancy wants to make a big impression, so she believes that her dog Frenchy needs to be well-groomed, fed, and trained to win the competition.

At the same time, Nancy also has to worry about her doll, Nancy Clancy, that has gone missing. She is very distraught as Nancy Clancy is her favorite possession and she just cannot seem to find it anywhere. Nancy's parents notice that she is upset and offer to help her look for it, but she insists that she can handle it on her own.

As Nancy makes her way to the dog show, she is confident that Frenchy will win the competition. However, things take a turn for the worse when Frenchy is unable to perform the tricks that Nancy had painstakingly taught her. This is a disaster for Nancy, as she has invested so much time and effort into her dog's training. Just when things could not get worse, Frenchy accidentally damages Nancy's dress, which she had planned to wear for the dog show. Nancy is now completely devastated and feels humiliated, especially in front of her classmates.

Meanwhile, Nancy's search for her missing doll continues. She enlists the help of her friend Bree, and together they search all over the place. But they are unable to find the doll. At this point, Nancy is on the verge of tears, and her friends feel sorry for her.

But things take a turn for the better when Bree's dog, Fetch, accidentally finds Nancy's doll in his mouth. Nancy is overjoyed to have found her lost possession. To add to her happiness, her mom presents her with a freshly cleaned dress to wear for the show. Now, Nancy feels ready to take on the dog show once again.

As the dog show resumes, Nancy is given a second chance to perform. This time she calms her nerves and takes a different approach, with the help of her dad's encouragement. Although she does not win the competition, Nancy has a newfound confidence in herself. This is further reflected when she presents her class with a certificate of participation instead of placing a medal on herself.

Finally, the episode concludes with Nancy and her friends reflecting on the day's events. They realize that it is not always about winning but about doing your best and enjoying the experience. They agree that even if they do not come out victorious, they can still be proud of themselves for trying.
