Fast N' Loud: Revved Up Season 5 Episode 8 Bye Bye Beardy/Build to Mega Race Part I
- March 6, 2017
In the eighth episode of the fifth season of Fast N' Loud: Revved Up, titled "Bye Bye Beardy/Build to Mega Race Part I", the Gas Monkey Garage takes on a new challenge. The team is trying to build a car within a tight deadline to compete in the Mega Race. However, with Aaron Kaufman's beard on the chopping block, the team faces an added pressure.
Buyer Dennis Collins is looking for a 4x4 acre that he can take off on outdoor adventures, and Richard Rawlings finds the perfect 1979 F-150 custom. Richard dreamed about buying this cattle ranch truck and kitted it out with an off-road suspension and mean motor.
Before the team dives into the build, Richard demands a bold price from Collins. If Richard's team can finish a 1955 Nomad, a classic car he's bought that's spread across the shop, in time for his charity auction, Richard will offer Collins a $75,000 discount on the truck he just bought.
With the deal sealed, the Gas Monkey team gets to work. They start with the Nomad by fixing the frame and brakes before taking the motor apart. As the Nomad restoration begins to look more and more promising, the pressure builds for Aaron. With Richard demanding that the Nomad takes priority over the Mega Race build, Aaron feels like he's stuck in the middle. He works hard on the Mega Race build while the team works on the Nomad.
Meanwhile, Richard feels that the team has lost focus and that his urgency has not trickled down to the team members. Aaron's impending beard fate looms - if he doesn't finish the build in time, he must shave his thick and luscious beard. With the team working all hours of the day, the tension builds between the team members, and they face mounting issues with the Nomad.
Throughout the episode, Richard's trademark enthusiasm comes to the fore. The team's dynamic and passion for building cars make the episode exciting to watch. The show's fans will enjoy watching this high-stakes race against time, as well as discovering the fate of Aaron's beard.
