Ep 8. Half Baked

In Finding Carter season 1 episode 8, titled "Half Baked," things get heated as the Wilson family holds a Thanksgiving dinner with Carter's biological family, the Stevens, and their friends. In the meantime, Carter and Max skip out on the festivities to go on a weed run for their friend Gabe's celebration party.

At the dinner, things start off civilly enough. However, the tension quickly escalates once Lori's teenage daughter Taylor starts probing into the Wilsons' family dynamics, especially regarding Elizabeth's affair with Kyle. When they return to Gabe's party, they find that it's a gathering of the town's "stoner elite." Carter tries to convince Max to try to make friends with them, but Max is reluctant to do so. Eventually, things get complicated and dangerous when the cops show up at the party, throwing everyone into a panic.

Back at the Wilson's Thanksgiving, secrets abound as things reach their boiling point. Caitlin accidentally reveals Max's party to Elizabeth, resulting in a furious argument in which Elizabeth brings up the topic of Taylor and Lori's longstanding lie about their biological relationship. An emotional Taylor runs out of the house, followed by Max and Carter who have returned from the party fearing they might have missed trouble.

The episode ends dramatically with Carter discovering a shocking development regarding Lori and Taylor that could have devastating consequences for everyone involved.

In "Half Baked," the tensions between both sides of Carter's family come to a head. The episode delivers a mix of heartwarming moments as the Wilsons try their best to make Thanksgiving dinner a success, only to have them ruined by outside circumstances.
