Ep 14. The Gloves Are Off

In the season 3 episode 14 of Fresh Off the Boat titled "The Gloves Are Off," tensions are high as Louis and Jessica struggle to assimilate their sons, Eddie and Evan, into the Chinese culture. To help with the process, Louis takes Eddie to work at Cattleman's Ranch, hoping that the experience would give Eddie a greater appreciation for his heritage. Back at home, Emery becomes caught in the middle of a feud between his roommates, Grandma Huang and Honey. The two women argue over who gets to use the living room, ultimately forcing Emery to come up with a plan to help them settle their differences and live more peacefully together.

As the Huang family navigates the challenges of assimilation and maintaining their cultural identity, they are forced to confront some harsh truths and make difficult decisions about what it means to be a family in America.
