Galaxy Express 999 Season 1 Episode 44 Witches of Walcule (Part One)

Captain Harlock and Tochiro land on the planet Walcule to escape a fleet of space battleships. They meet a young girl named Crystal who brings them to her village, which is ruled by witches. The witches have outlawed all technology, but the village is home to a device that can turn a human into a witch. Captain Harlock is suspicious of the device and the witches' true intentions. Meanwhile, Tetsuro and Maetel are also on Walcule, searching for the last planet to complete Tetsuro's journey on the Galaxy Express 999. They are captured by a tribe of warriors who have allied with the witches. The episode ends with Tetsuro and Maetel facing off against the tribe's leader in a battle for their freedom.
