The pirates' leader, Queen Promethium, demands they hand over the Galaxy Express 999, but Tetsuro and Maetel refuse.

As tensions rise, they find themselves in the middle of a heated battle. During the chaos, Tetsuro falls from a cliff and is separated from Maetel. Left alone in the desolate landscape, Tetsuro must navigate the treacherous terrain and evade the space pirates to reunite with Maetel.

Meanwhile, Queen Promethium has plans of her own. She believes the Galaxy Express 999 possesses a rare and valuable mineral called sublimate. She orders her men to search the train and capture anyone who stands in their way.

The episode ends with Tetsuro reuniting with Maetel and discovering that the pirates have initiated their attack. They must now fight to protect the Galaxy Express 999 and avoid being captured by Queen Promethium and her men.
