Gasaraki is a Japanese mecha series from 1998. The series focuses on Yushiro, a Tactical Armor pilot, during the fictional war between the United States of America and Belgistan, a fictional nation within the Middle East. When the US tries to seize Belgistan's capital, it is completely obliterated by an opposing battalion of Tactical Armor pilots. The Gowa clan, Japanese developers of the TA system, send Yushiro as a representative of their power in a deployment to Belgistan. While fighting the good fight, Yushiro strikes up a strong battlefield connection with Miharu, another TA pilot from an opposing military faction.
