The story of Super Gals takes place in modern Japan, mostly around the highly popular Gyaru subculture. Super Gals focuses on the story of a young girl named Ren Kotobuki, who is the main character of the series. Ren usually refers to herself as the worst greatest gal in Shibuya. Ren is determined to one day live the town of Shibuya that she's lived at her whole life, for a chance to live out her dream by living the ideal gal lifestyle for her entire life. Unfortunately, since she comes from a family of cops, including her parents, grandparents, older brother and younger sister, Ren strives to do something different with her life and follow her dreams of being the best Super Gal in Japan, no matter what it takes. However, the only thing that makes her similar to the rest of her family is her spirit, dedication, persistence and compassion.
