Ep 4. Our Man in Toyland

Maxwell Smart is a bumbling and lovable agent for the spy agency CONTROL. In season 1 episode 4, titled Our Man in Toyland, Max and his partner Agent 99 are sent on a mission to retrieve a stolen invention from KAOS, CONTROL's archenemy. The stolen invention in question is a machine that can shrink humans down to toy size, which KAOS plans to use to take over the world.

As they navigate the treacherous world of Billy's toy box, Max and 99 must avoid being discovered by Billy's dog, who senses that there is something not quite right about his new toys. The two agents also encounter other toy characters, including a cowboy, a ballerina, and a jack-in-the-box, who help them on their mission.

Despite their small size, Max and 99 continue to display their spy skills, with Max using his trick umbrellas and shoe phones to communicate with the Chief and other CONTROL agents. They eventually locate the stolen invention and attempt to escape with it, but are caught by Zelinka and his henchmen.

In the thrilling climax, Max and 99 must use all their skills to defeat Zelinka and his men and escape with the invention. They manage to succeed and return the stolen invention to CONTROL, saving the day once again.
