The Ghost Hunters are back and starting off their fourth season investigating the paranormal activity at Fort Mifflin, a Revolutionary War era fort located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team comprises of lead investigator Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango, Brian Harnois, and Donna LaCroix.

The episode begins with the team arriving at the fort and getting a brief history of the location from the staff. Fort Mifflin was established in 1771 and played a crucial role in protecting Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War. It was also used as a prison during the Civil War and was abandoned in 1962. The team was excited to investigate the fort as it had a reputation for being haunted.

The team started their investigation by splitting up into groups and covering various parts of the fort. They set up their equipment and started calling out to any spirits that might be present. The first group comprised of Jason, Grant, and Brian, and they decided to investigate the casemates, which were used to store ammunition during the Revolutionary War. They immediately heard strange noises and started recording audio to see if they could capture any EVPs (electronic voice phenomena).

The second group consisted of Steve, Dave, and Donna, who investigated the officer's quarters. As soon as they started their investigation, they noticed a door swinging open and caught it on their thermal camera. They attempted to recreate the event, but were unsuccessful.

The team regrouped and shared their findings. They had captured several EVPs, and some of their equipment had been triggered without any explanation. They decided to conduct a final investigation in the coal cellar, which had a reputation for being the most haunted part of the fort.

As they entered the coal cellar, they immediately heard strange noises and felt a cold breeze. They decided to split up, with Jason and Grant going in one direction, and Steve, Dave, and Donna going in another. As they walked around, they heard footsteps, whispers, and even saw a shadow figure.

The team wrapped up their investigation and went through all the evidence they had collected. They had captured several EVPs, which included a voice saying "Help me," and "Get out." They had also captured several unexplained bangs and footsteps. Overall, they concluded that Fort Mifflin was indeed haunted and that they had captured some compelling evidence to support this claim.

In conclusion, the first episode of Ghost Hunters season four was an exciting and thrilling investigation of Fort Mifflin. The team showed once again why they are the best in the business with their professional and scientific approach to investigating the paranormal. The evidence they collected was intriguing and provided some compelling evidence that the fort is indeed haunted.
