In Grey's Anatomy season 6 episode 9, titled "New History," the doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital face some very challenging decisions. Some of those decisions are about relationships that have developed between colleagues, but most involve patients with complicated medical problems.

As the episode begins, the Chief of Surgery, Dr. Richard Webber, is disappointed by the performance of some of his interns and residents. He wants them to push themselves harder in order to become more skilled doctors. One of his interns, Meredith Grey, has another problem: she is trying to hide the fact that she is pregnant from her colleagues and friends. She fears that her pregnancy will be seen as a distraction and that she won't be able to complete her training if people find out.

Meanwhile, Dr. Owen Hunt, Seattle Grace's new trauma surgeon, is struggling with his own demons. He has post-traumatic stress disorder from his time serving in the military, and his symptoms are beginning to interfere with his work. He misses important details about a patient's condition and nearly kills him. He decides to seek help and enlists the support of his girlfriend, Dr. Cristina Yang, who is also a surgeon at the hospital.

As the day wears on, the doctors at Seattle Grace come across a number of challenging cases. One patient suffers from a condition that causes him to have uncontrollable seizures, while another has a rare disease that causes her to bleed internally. Another patient has a cancerous tumor that may have spread throughout her body. All of the doctors must work together to diagnose and treat these patients, using their knowledge and experience to make difficult decisions.

But the most challenging case of all involves a newborn baby who arrives at the hospital with a life-threatening condition. The baby's parents are both deaf, and they are unable to communicate effectively with the doctors. Dr. Arizona Robbins, a pediatric surgeon, takes charge of the case and tries to find a way to communicate with the parents so that they understand the severity of their child's condition. The situation becomes even more complicated when the baby's father becomes ill and must be hospitalized as well.

As the doctors work to save their patients and navigate the complex relationships that surround them, they discover that sometimes the hardest decisions are not about medicine, but about human emotions and connections. They learn that they must rely on each other for support and guidance, and that sometimes the best way to help their patients is to listen to their hearts, not just their heads. Grey's Anatomy season 6 episode 9 is a powerful episode that showcases the courage, dedication, and compassion of the doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital.
