Ep 3. Episode 3

Eun Oh and Seo Hwa's story continues in episode 3 of Gu Family Book. Kang Chi is now living at the Hundred Year Inn with the Park family. Tired of being pitied by those around him, Kang Chi decides to leave the inn and start a new life. He heads into the forest where he meets the young master of the Won family, whom he helps to escape from a group of bandits.

Meanwhile, Eun Oh is still on the search for Seo Hwa's diary and goes to the Heaven's Bookstore to ask for help. There he meets a mysterious woman, who he discovers is actually Gwan Woong's servant, Chung Jo. Chung Jo is a skilled fighter and offers to help Eun Oh in his search for the diary.

As Kang Chi tries to navigate the outside world, he meets a group of martial artists who are being threatened by a corrupt official. He helps them to fight back against the official and his men, who are terrorizing the village. Kang Chi impresses the martial artists with his skills and they invite him to join their group.

Back in town, Eun Oh discovers that the diary is being held by a man named Tae Seo, who was once in love with Seo Hwa. Eun Oh and Chung Jo confront Tae Seo and try to get the diary from him, but he refuses to give it up. Meanwhile, Gwan Woong's men track down Eun Oh and kidnap him, hoping to use him to lure Kang Chi to them.

Seo Hwa's story is also further explored in this episode, as we see her experience life as a gisaeng, a courtesan trained in music and the arts. She forms a friendship with another gisaeng, Dam, who teaches her how to sing without revealing her identity. Seo Hwa also catches the attention of Tae Seo, who is now a wealthy and powerful man.

As the episode comes to a close, Kang Chi discovers that Eun Oh has been kidnapped and sets out to rescue him. He tracks down Gwan Woong's hideout and engages in a fierce battle with his men. Eun Oh is able to escape, but Kang Chi is badly injured and taken captive by Gwan Woong.
