Gon demands that they hand over the evidence and threatens them with violence if they don't comply. Kang-chi refuses to give in, and a fight breaks out. In the chaos, Yeo-wool is captured by Gon's men, and Kang-chi is badly injured.

Kang-chi is taken to a healer's house to recover, and there he meets Chung-jo, a young woman who lives there with her father. Kang-chi is drawn to her but also suspicious of her, since she seems to have a connection to Gon. Meanwhile, Yeo-wool is held captive by Gon and forced to reveal the location of the Gu Family Book.

The episode ends with Kang-chi deciding to go after Yeo-wool and rescue her, despite his injuries and the danger he faces. Chung-jo offers to help him, and together they set out to save Yeo-wool and stop Gon from getting his hands on the Gu Family Book.
