Gus Mather arrives in Dodge City with the body of a man named Boggs. He throws a huge wake for the man. When Matt returns, he finds the circumstances puzzling. Then he and Chester discover two people who know Boggs, but not Gus Mather, and one of them is Boggs' wife, who assures the lawmen her husband is alive. What is Gus Mather up to?
