The episode opens with Lin and Banba visiting a hospital where they inquire about a man who was hit by a car the previous night. They are informed that the man is in critical condition and is being kept in the ICU. The doctors express their doubts about the man's survival due to the severity of his injuries.
As Lin and Banba leave the hospital, they come across a young girl named Misaki who is looking for her missing cat. They agree to help her find the cat, and as they search, they come across a man who appears to be inebriated and is urinating in public. Banba confronts the man, and a scuffle ensues. After the man runs off, Lin and Banba continue their search for the missing cat.
Meanwhile, in a different part of the city, a young woman named Saeki is planning to rob a convenience store with her friends. Saeki is nervous about the plan, but her friends convince her to go through with it.
Back at the hospital, Lin receives a call from Ririka, who informs him that the man who was hit by the car was a former member of the Russian mafia who was involved in the trafficking of women. She suspects that the driver of the car was someone who was seeking revenge against him.
Lin and Banba continue their search for the cat and eventually find it in a nearby park. As they are about to return the cat to Misaki, they witness a hit-and-run accident. The victim is Saeki's friend, who was hit by a car while they were trying to flee from a failed robbery attempt.
Lin and Banba rush to the scene and try to help the injured woman. They notice that Saeki is missing and assume she is the driver of the car that hit Saeki's friend. They decide to search for her, believing that she may have important information about the hit-and-run.
Meanwhile, Saeki is shown running through the city, trying to escape the police. She becomes increasingly paranoid and begins to hallucinate that she is being pursued by grotesque monsters. Eventually, she collapses from exhaustion and is apprehended by the police.
Lin and Banba arrive on the scene and question Saeki, who admits to being the driver of the car that hit her friend. However, she denies having any knowledge of the hit-and-run earlier that night.
Lin and Banba return to the hospital and inform Ririka of their findings. They discuss their suspicions that the two incidents are connected and decide to investigate further.
In the final scene, it is revealed that the man who was hit by the car earlier in the episode has died from his injuries. Ririka expresses her disappointment that they were unable to obtain any information from him before he passed away.
The episode concludes with Lin and Banba discussing their next move, determined to uncover the truth behind the two incidents.
