Lou and Mitch throw a surprise engagement party for Ty and Amy at Heartland, but the couple is preoccupied with their own worries. Ty is dealing with his PTSD from the accident, and Amy is concerned about her horse Spartan's performance at a competition. Meanwhile, Tim's new rodeo school is not going as planned, and his relationship with Casey is on shaky ground. Lou and Mitch's relationship also hits a rough patch when Lou discovers Mitch's past involvement with a group that opposes the rodeo industry. As a storm approaches, tensions rise at Heartland, and the characters are forced to confront their problems head-on.
