Hello World! Full Episode Guide

  • On this episode of Hello World, Bloomberg Businessweek's Ashlee Vance heads to Russia. For the past five years, Russia's been building walls around its web and packing it with tech oligarchs, startup cities, face-finding algorithms, hacker hunters and, of course, a few bears.

  • Ashlee Vance heads to Japan to find people who are trying to wake the country up from its technological slumber. Along the way, he meets with Japan's top roboticists making lifelike androids. He heads to Hitachi's vaunted research labs to see the machines - robot helpers and autonomous vehicles that the company thinks will take care of Japan's senior citizens in the years to come.

  • In this episode of Hello World, Bloomberg's Ashlee Vance heads to England to find out how the country is fighting to inject new life into its technology industry. Vance hangs out with learned cows and artificial intelligence whizzes, bikes past Newton's famed apple tree (at least a replica of it), and goes punting with the inventor of the Raspberry Pi computer.

  • Every animal needs water, yet each creature's search for it is unique. With "Save Me", Matthews follows the stories of rhinos, spadefoot toads and manatees, as they search for the fresh water on which all life on Earth depends.

  • Jett highlights the stories of creatures we love to hate, such as wolves, alligators and sharks. Her hit song "Bad Reputation", makes the case that for all fear they put into the world, these guys are crucial parts of their ecosystems.

  • In "Crazy Love," Goulding uncovers the amazing (and hilarious) lengths some animals go to to attract a mate. Her hit, "Something in the Way You Move," sets the mood for animals as diverse as polar bears and garter snakes.

  • Tyler's recently released country song "RED, WHITE & YOU," is a perfect backdrop to "Summer Wild." This episode shows how several North American critters-prairie dogs, hawks, and wild mustangs--like to spend their summer vacation.

  • Christina Agueilera's ``Light Up the Sky'' showcases the maternal protection of animals such as the mountain goat and the cheetah.

  • Usher's song ``Stronger'' sets the scene as the sea turtle and red fox demonstrate how adversity only makes them more resilient.
