In "Prison of Garbage," the third episode of Hoarding: Buried Alive season 2, we meet Linda, a woman who has been living in her house for over 20 years. However, Linda's house is not livable anymore. Instead, it's a prison of garbage. Linda has been hoarding for a long time, and she's been filling her house with everything she can find. There are piles of trash in every room, and the smell is unbearable. Friends and family members who have come to visit have been appalled by the conditions.

Linda's hoarding addiction started after she lost her husband to cancer. She became severely depressed and started collecting things as a way to cope. Over time, her hoarding took over her life, and she became trapped in her own home. She's unable to clean or maintain the house, and the piles of garbage have taken over.

In this episode, Linda has finally agreed to get help from a professional hoarding cleanup service. The team arrives at her house and immediately notices the stench. They have to wear hazmat suits and respirators to protect themselves from the toxic environment.

The team starts by removing all of the garbage from the house. They find all sorts of things, from old food to animal feces, and everything in between. The piles of garbage are so high that they've blocked off some of the rooms entirely. The cleanup team has to navigate the narrow pathways around the garbage to begin the cleanup process.

As the team starts to clear out the garbage, they quickly realize that this is going to be a much bigger job than they anticipated. The floors in some areas have rotted away due to the amount of garbage and filth that has been piled up. The team has to replace the flooring, walls, and even the ceiling before they can start properly cleaning the house.

As they continue to work, Linda's emotional state becomes apparent. She's horrified at the mess she's created and is ashamed of herself. However, she's also grateful for the help and support of the cleanup crew. She begins to open up about her struggles with hoarding and the pain she's been carrying since her husband's death.

Throughout the episode, we see the cleanup team working tirelessly to transform Linda's house from a prison of garbage to a livable space. They take every precaution to ensure that the house is safe and clean, but it's not an easy task. It's emotionally draining for both Linda and the cleanup team, but they're determined to get the job done.

In the end, the transformation is incredible. The house is unrecognizable from the pile of garbage it once was. The floors are clean, and the air is fresh. Linda is in tears as she sees her home in a new light. She's finally able to live in the house again and move forward with her life.

"Prison of Garbage" is a powerful episode that showcases the struggles of hoarding and the impact it can have on someone's life. It's a reminder that hoarding is a serious addiction, and it takes a team effort to overcome it. The episode also shows that there is hope for those struggling with hoarding, and with the right help, it's possible to turn their lives around.
