Brendon's school has a new school nurse, and he can't help but imagine her as a gorgeous, caring angel. Meanwhile, Coach McGuirk is feeling particularly unwell, and the nurse insists that he take better care of himself. She also wants to speak with Brendon privately, and he's unsure why. However, the meeting quickly takes a hilarious turn as the nurse proves to be a bit of a nutcase, and Brendon realizes that she's not as perfect as he thought.

Throughout the episode, viewers see the characters grappling with various illnesses. Coach McGuirk is, of course, in the midst of an intense cold, and he refuses to take care of himself properly. Meanwhile, the nurse is obsessed with perfect health, and she volunteers to test everyone's hearing and vision. Melissa is terrified that she's losing her hearing, and Jason is convinced that he's blind. Brendon is the only one who seems relatively calm, but that's only because he's convinced that the nurse is his future wife.

The school nurse is an interesting character. She seems friendly and attentive at first, but as the episode goes on, it becomes clear that she's a bit of a loon. She tells bizarre stories about her life and insists that everyone drink loads of water. She also has a strange fixation with Earle, the school janitor, who she seems to view as her soulmate. Brendon tries to convince himself that she's just quirky and endearing, but eventually, even he has to admit that she's a bit off her rocker.

In the end, everyone learns something about health and responsibility. Coach McGuirk eventually accepts that he needs to take care of himself, even if it means getting a flu shot. Melissa discovers that her hearing is just fine, and Jason realizes that he can see perfectly well. Brendon, on the other hand, learns that sometimes even the people we admire most aren't perfect. He's disappointed that the school nurse isn't the angel he thought she was, but he also realizes that it's important to appreciate people for who they are, flaws and all.

Overall, "School Nurse" is a hilarious and heartwarming episode. It tackles themes of health, responsibility, and acceptance in a way that's both funny and relatable. The characters are as charming and quirky as ever, and viewers will find themselves laughing out loud at Coach McGuirk's antics and the school nurse's bizarre behavior. And in the end, they'll come away with a greater appreciation for the importance of taking care of oneself and accepting others for who they are.
