Ep 5. Finding Space Off Base

In this episode of House in a Hurry, a military family seeks the help of real estate agent and home designer, Jill, as they search for a new home in the Tampa Bay area. The family has recently been reassigned to MacDill Air Force Base and needs to find a home quickly.
Jill begins the house hunt by asking the family about their must-haves and deal-breakers. They are looking for a home with four bedrooms, a large backyard, and a two-car garage. The family also wants to be in a quiet neighborhood with good schools and easy access to the base.
The first house Jill shows them checks off a lot of their boxes, but it's located too close to a busy street and they're concerned about traffic noise. The second house is more secluded and peaceful, but the layout isn't practical for the family's needs.
The family starts to feel discouraged, but Jill assures them that they will find the perfect home. She suggests they look at a few more houses before making a decision.
The third house is a bit of a fixer-upper, but the family falls in love with the oversized backyard and the potential the house has. Jill draws up some renovation plans for the family to consider and they decide to make an offer.
The next day, Jill helps the family negotiate the price and terms of the contract. They are able to come to an agreement and the family is thrilled to have found their new home.
Jill then brings in her team of contractors to begin the renovations. They knock down a wall to create an open-concept living area and install brand new flooring throughout the house. They also update the kitchen with new countertops and appliances.
The family is blown away by the transformation and can't believe how quickly the renovations were completed. They move in just in time to start the new school year and are excited to begin their new life in the Tampa Bay area.
In the end, Jill reflects on the joy she gets from helping military families find their new homes. She is proud to have played a small role in helping this family transition to their new home and community.
