Ep 2. Test x Of x Tests

Gon and the other examinees arrive at the venue for the Hunter Exam, where they are greeted by a group of examiners. The examinees are given a briefing on the exam, which consists of several tests that will test their physical and mental abilities. The first test is a running race through a dense forest, with the first 50 examinees to reach the finish line qualifying for the next round.

Gon sets off at a brisk pace, eager to prove his worth. However, he soon realizes that the race is more dangerous than he originally thought. The forest is filled with treacherous terrain and dangerous creatures, including giant snakes and wild boars. Several examinees are injured or even killed during the first leg of the race, including one who falls from a cliff and dies on impact.

Despite the danger, Gon continues on, using his quick reflexes and keen senses to avoid the obstacles. He also gains several allies along the way, including Leorio and Kurapika, who both share a strong desire to become Hunters. Together, they use their skills to navigate through the forest and eventually cross the finish line.

He watches as other examinees steal, lie, or even kill in order to get ahead, and wonders if he should do the same. Throughout it all, he remains true to himself, using his strength and intelligence to pass the tests without resorting to unethical behavior.

In the end, Gon and his allies manage to pass the first phase of the exam, qualifying for the next round. However, they realize that the challenges will only get more difficult from here on out, and that they will need to be at their best in order to survive. With new friends by his side and the prospect of becoming a Hunter just within reach, Gon prepares for the next phase of the exam with determination and excitement.
