As Hunter X Hunter (2011) Season 2 Episode 36 begins, our heroes are split up in different parts of the palace, with Killua nearing the king's chambers while Gon and Knuckle are dealing with a swarm of Chimera Ants. Meanwhile, the Royal Guards are still reeling from their injuries under Netero's Zero Hand technique.
The bulk of this episode revolves around Killua as he infiltrates the palace to try to get to the king. He uses his lightning abilities to quickly dispatch several Chimera Ants along the way, but things take a turn when he runs into one of the Royal Guards, Menthuthuyoupi.
The two engage in a battle of wits and strength, with Killua using his intelligence and agility to try to outsmart the hulking Menthuthuyoupi. It's clear from the outset that this will be a difficult fight for Killua, as Menthuthuyoupi is both stronger and more resilient than he anticipated.
Still, Killua doesn't give up easily, using his electricity to stun and evade his opponent. He also shows off his trademark cool-headedness, even when things seem dire. He's able to keep his focus and come up with creative ways to get out of tough situations.
Meanwhile, we check in on Gon and Knuckle, who are still fighting off the Chimera Ants. They're able to hold their own, but it's clear that they're struggling and could use some help. This highlights just how powerful the Ants have become, and how much of a threat they pose to our heroes.
Back with Killua, we see him using a new technique that involves manipulating electricity to create a clone of himself. This allows him to distract Menthuthuyoupi and get in some sneak attacks. While it seems to be working at first, his opponent quickly catches on and is able to destroy the clone.
The fight between the two is intense and well-choreographed, with both combatants getting in some impressive hits. Finally, Killua comes up with a daring plan to take out Menthuthuyoupi once and for all.
The plan involves using his electricity to give Menthuthuyoupi a massive shock, causing his body to absorb too much aura and effectively overload. It's a risky move, but Killua is able to pull it off, and Menthuthuyoupi goes down.
It's a thrilling conclusion to the battle, and we get to see once again just how clever and resourceful Killua can be. The episode ends with him finally making it to the king's chambers, setting the stage for what's sure to be an epic confrontation.
